The History of NoBo Magazine

The History of NoBo Magazine

NoBo Magazine launched in 2011 to guide residents North of Boston who are committed to thinking and living locally. These communities are saturated with daily and weekly newspapers that offer nearly identical headlines, but we are more than just your local paper.

Our online publication aims at providing the depth and clarity of a high-end magazine to a community-centered, online realm. Our staff and local contributors bring expertise and experience in publishing, marketing, and community organizing, and our connections to the communities we serve run deep, affording the opportunity to illuminate the beauty of an increasingly local world.

In 2012, NoBo Magazine plans to launch issues featuring profiles of the everything unique and wonderful the following communities have to offer: Everett, Malden, Chelsea, Revere, Melrose, Saugus, Wakefield, Stoneham, Danvers, Peabody, Salem, Ipswich, Essex, Gloucester, Rockport

NoBo Publishing Group is responsible for the content of NoBoMagazine.com, and aims to develop other lifestyle, news, and entertainment publications. By 2013, the group will expand content and coverage to encompass all of the communities in the Commonwealth.

With the launch of SoBoMagazine.com, the group sets its sights on region South of Boston, including the communities of the South Shore, Cape, and Islands while WoBoMagazine.com will reach out to residents West of Boston into Worcester, Springfield, and the Berkshires.

NoBo Publishing Group is currently developing classroom guides specifically designed to help teachers rise to the challenge of educating America’s next generation over the next decade.

The group currently works as guidance and support to corporate, small business, government, and non-profit entities to help develop content and messages that help to create lasting conversations with their clients and constituents.
