PEM/PM Evening Party Series 2016 Schedule
SALEM – The Peabody Essex Museum has released the 2016 schedule for their PEM/PM after-hours parties where guests are invited to dance the night away, sip delicious cocktails and imported beer, flex their creative muscles, enjoy live entertainment, and meet new friends. The entire museum is open late during PEM/PM, which takes place the third Thursday of every month from 6 to 9 pm. A full schedule with monthly themes can be found below!

Cost? Salem residents and museum members enjoy FREE admission. Nonmembers entrance fee is just $10.
The 2016 PEM/PM Schedule
Thurs. June 16: Jigsaw– Explore the worlds of puzzle and patterns. Join in a large-scale puzzle hunt, enjoy laser cutting and DIY puzzle workshops, create your own fractals and much more. There’s nothing puzzling about this party!
Thurs. July 21: Summer Breeze – Head inland to PEM and discover plein-air paintings by area artists while exploring American Impressionist: Childe Hassam and the Isles of Shoals. Taste local seafood, enjoy watercolor painting workshops, listen to live music and be fascinated by a presentation from staff at the Shoals Marine Lab.
Thurs. August 18: End-of-Summer Blues – Everyone gets the blues toward the end of summer, but PEM is here to help you celebrate! Enjoy local blues bands, lawn games and backyard BBQ food while enjoying a selection of beer. Be a part of the music with instrument making and blue jean art workshops and end the summer with a bash.
Thurs. September 15: Communidad – Spend the evening with PEM for a celebration in honor of Spanish History Month! Get fired up with a Latin dance party that breaks the traditional mold while enjoying cocktails and music.
Thurs. October 20: Moon Landing – Neil Armstrong can sit this one out. Come celebrate the moon for a tantalizing night of lunar festivities. Listen in on discussions about the importance of the moon, hear from exhibition artists and interact with minerals found on the moon. From the race to make a base on the moon to cheese and werewolves, this lunar celebration is sure to be out of this world!
Thurs. November 17: Signals – Pick up your telegraph and dial a friend to tell them about this celebration for the man behind the Morse code. Explore artist and inventor Samuel F.B. Morse’s specialties as you make portraits, discover trends in communication and decode telegrams.
Thurs. December 15: Shoe-volution – Put one foot in front of the other as you make your way to PEM for a celebration of shoes! Learn cool ways to lace your shoes, design and make your own shoes and see some of the more ridiculous and extreme pairs ever conceived by fashion.
