Online Voter Registration Stock ImageMASSACHUSETTS – The final day to register to vote or to switch political parties for the upcoming Presidential Primary is Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Voters can register online by completing a new voter registration form in person, by mail, or online.

There are four political parties in the Commonwealth: the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, the Green-Rainbow Party, and the United Independent Party. Voters who are unenrolled in a party are commonly known as Independent, and can choose which party’s ballot they would like to receive in the upcoming primary. If you wish to change your party enrollment for the primary, you must do so before February 10, 2016 as well.

Absentee ballots for the March 1, 2016 Presidential Primary are also now available, and you can download an absentee ballot application from the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s voter registration website.
