Kane’s Donuts Sweetens the Season with S’more Treats
SAUGUS – The Delios family is once again sweetening the season as Kane’s Donuts is serving up a S’more donut all season long. It officially feels like summer now that region’s best handcrafted donuts include this campfire dessert among its fantastic breakfast lineup.
Kane’s is creating new donuts on what seems like a daily basis which continues to build their cult-like following and national accolades. While it seems like so many cookie-cutter, big-box eateries are offering a variation of the treat, Kane’s is taking your favorite fireside snack to another level.
There are not many who don’t enjoy a s’more, and this version offers a breakfast bursting with flavor alongside everything else you love about your favorite local donut shop. The Kane’s S’more donut starts with their classic handcrafted, raised donut and provide a generous slathering of milk chocolate frosting. A generous helping of fresh crumbled graham crackers are piled atop the gooey frosting with a mountain of mini-marshmallows scattered atop and toasted to perfection.
“We love creating donuts that make our customers think about everything they love,” Maria Delios told us, “and a S’more donut is so nostalgic. It’s the perfect way to celebrate summer.”
Kane’s recently opened its second location in Boston’s downtown financial district. Opening day brought big lines, and the location sold out all 2,000 donuts in under six hours with the shop extending weekend hours this summer.
The Delios family purchased Kane’s in 1988 from original owners Bob and June Kane who opened the shop in 1955. Kane’s has certainly earned it’s “world-famous” tagline due to the popularity of its honey-dipped donut, however, the Delios family is proud of its many hidden gems and new products added into the rotation.
