First Helicopter Egg Drop-Palooza at Amesbury Sports Park to benefit Lucy’s Love Bus on March 30
AMESBURY - 30,000 eggs full of treats and toys will fall from they sky at this weekend’s first Helicopter Egg Drop-Palooza at Amesbury Sports Park to benefit Lucy’s Love Bus. The event will feature helicopter rides, pony rides, Bunny Hop Dance-Off, face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny and live performances by The Brew, Mateo Medina, Kitarah & AHMIR!
Lucy’s Love Bus delivers comfort to children with cancer by paying for any therapy that helps to balance traditional cancer care and improves the quality of life for a child. They offer grants up to $1,000 for any child in the US between the ages of birth and 21 years who is coping with a cancer diagnosis as well as late effects of cancer treatment.
Founded by Amesbury’s own Lucy Grogan, she lost her battle with cancer in 2006, but her mother Beecher has continued the effort in her name. The organization now serves cancer patients in 12 states.
Admission is $5, and registration will be capped at 5,000 participants.Be sure to complete the form after purchasing tickets to tell organizers about your group. It’s important to know everyone’s ages so we can be sure to have plenty of eggs and treats!
When: Saturday, March 30 from 11AM to 4PM (rain, show, or shine); The egg drop will take place at 12PM for ages 1-6; Another egg drop will take place at 2:30PM for ages 7-18. Concert at 3PM
