3rd Annual MassBike Summer Century & Family Fun Ride scheduled for July 28

LEXINGTON – Join other local riders for the 3rd annual MassBike Summer Century & Family Fun Ride on July 28th, 2012! Rides of varied lengths (8, 26, 47, 62 and 100 miles) will bring participants through the heart of American Revolutionary history.

All proceeds go to support MassBike and its mission of making bicycling better in Massachusetts. Through legislation, education, and infrastructure projects, MassBike aims to get more people on bicycles and to make the roads and paths they use safer.

After the rides, all participants will be treated to a special lunch by Redbones Barbecue at Lexington High School.

When? Event will be held on Saturday, July 28th, 2012. In an effort to stagger the starts of the various rides, MassBike employs a rolling start, allowing riders to start at any point within the following start times:

  • Century (100 miles) – Departs 7 to 8:30AM

  • Metric Century (62 miles) – Departs 8 to 9:30AM

  • 47 Mile Ride – Departs 9 to 10:30AM

  • Family Rides (8 or 26 mile) – Departs 10 to 11AM

  • Redbones BBQ provided for riders – 12/Noon to 5PM

Cost? Fundraisers held responsible for raising $100 pay a $15.00 registration fee; MassBike Members register for $35; Nonmember registration $40; Kids 13 to 17 registration $25; Kids under 12 are free; Registration fees for the event are non-refundable.
