App of the Week: Finding the best on the Seafood Trail
By Keith Spencer
As a NoBo native and grandson of an avid fisherman, there is one thing that I simply cannot live without: seafood. For centuries and generations, the waters off our coast have been fished to provide locals with the freshest seafood as well as continued employment.
As a result, dozens of seafood shacks and fine dining restaurants have appeared across the NoBo region over time, drawing visitors and natives alike all summer long. To make life easier, the wonderful folks at the North of Boston Convention and Visitor Bureau and MassVacation.com have developed an app to keep you traveling to all the right places on the North of Boston Seafood Trail!
Lobstah lovers and seafood connoisseurs can certainly find their fill with options galore, including both casual meals for families finishing a trip to the beach to four-star dinners for a romantic dinner for two. The app allows users to search and find the best spot according to the community they are or plan to visit.
From Woodman’s of Essex to the Clam Box to Latitude 43 of Gloucester, the app is the perfect way to plan visits to all of the region’s favorites you frequent or have meant to visit time and again.
The app is the result of the North of Boston Convention and Visitor Bureau‘s mission to highlight the great seafood restaurants located in the thirty-four cities and towns that stretch from Lynn to the New Hampshire border. This information & much more can also be found on their Escapes North website, providing vacationers and natives of the region with all things cultural North of Boston.
The app is absolutely free, however, it is exclusively for the iPhone. We couldn’t be happier to proclaim the North of Boston Seafood Trail as our NoBo App of the Week![divider_top]
