SAUGUS – In honor of National Park Week, the National Park Service held a Junior Ranger Day program geared to engage kids in history, preservation, and exploration of the Saugus Iron Works in Saugus. Events also took place locally at the Salem Maritime historic sites.
Younger visitors were sworn in as Junior Rangers, and received official badges. Park rangers and volunteers had a number of fun, free, hands-on activities. Check out the photo gallery here.
