Better known to its members and supporters as Mass BADGE, the group’s mission is simple: sponsor great events that support and raise funds to benefit local communities, residents, and organizations. The Zion Church Ministries, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the State Department of Children and Families. The organization also hosts the Annual Mass Law Enforcement Harbor Cruise, with proceeds going to a number of charitable organizations.
On Saturday, March 31 at 7PM, the group will host a fundraiser at Anthony’s of Malden to help Eric “DJ Littles” Palmariello, an instrumental member of the group who serves as their resident DJ. Palmariello has recently been diagnosed with Gastric Signet Ring Adenocarcinoma, a form of stomach cancer. The group from BADGE Inc, is holding the fundraising event to help Eric as he undergoes extensive treatment for his illness.
“This has been one of the toughest event that I’ve had to help coordinate and I’m overwhelmed with the show of support that we have been getting,” notes Raoul Goncalves, President of BADGE Inc. and an Everett Police Patrolman.
“This support from the community clearly speaks volumes about the kind of person Eric is. He is fighting a tough battle and we want him to know that he is not alone. He is always the first one to step up to help others and now we want to stand by him.”
“I’m extremely impressed with the level of dedication BADGE Inc. has given to our community,” noted Mayor DeMaria in a recent press release.
“I’m also touched that the group is dedicated to helping others in time of need. Eric is a great member of my family and the Everett family. We have the opportunity to show our true Everett pride, helping others when they need it most.”
