A Short Biography of Chris Keohan, Founder of CK Strategies
Keohan is Boston College alum with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, joining the National Advance Team for Presidential Nominee Senator John Kerry upon graduating in 2003. His duties took him to more than thirty states, working with elected officials, labor unions, activists and staff to organize major events for the campaign.
In 2005, Keohan joined Virginia Victory 2005 as an organizer focusing on Northern Virginia, serving as the campaign’s point of contact with the Veteran and Labor communities.
In 2006, Keohan then returned to Massachusetts where he served as the Southern Massachusetts Regional Director for Attorney General Tom Reilly’s gubernatorial bid.
In 2007, Chris was asked to serve on then U.S. Senator Barack Obama’s Presidential Announcement Tour Advance Team, travelling to Iowa and New Hampshire to aid in kicking off the successful Obama campaign.
Following the Obama announcement tour, Chris returned to Massachusetts, and would work with Congresswoman Niki Tsongas’ campaign as her Labor Director and Deputy Finance Director. After the Congresswoman’s successful election, Chris joined her district staff, ultimately working in several positions until he joined Congressman Mike Capuano’s campaign for United States Senate in September of 2009.
Most recently, Chris served as Campaign Manager and General Consultant to Everett City Councilor Sal DiDomenico’s successful campaign for State Senate. In this special election, Chris organized the campaign’s efforts in a diverse district against several well funded and experienced candidates, ultimately earning 27 labor and more than 50 elected-official endorsements.
Known from Beacon Hill to Capitol Hill, Keohan’s wide array of expertise has and will continue to be sought by local, state, and federal candidates. You can learn more about CK Strategies at www.ckstrategies.com.
