BostonTCrush launches to capture the men of the MBTA
BOSTON – As if riding the T wasn’t “glamorous” enough, male passengers may now have their own personal paparazzi when riding the rails. A London-based company will launch BostonTcrush.com today, allowing users to post discreetly taken photos of MBTA travelers for commentary and rating by the public.
Developers have already launched similar sites, including London’s TubeCrush.net and New York City’s SubwayCrush.net. The Boston-based version today at 3PM.
Anyone who wants his picture removed from the site need only ask. According to developers, both men and women frequent their other sites as the ultimate goal is to help connect all people with their crushes.
While the site currently solicits only photos of men, plans to begin allowing photos of women to be posted may come to fruition for some of the their sites in the spring. Developers insist that extra precautions will ensure that incorporating women’s photos won’t lead to cases of harassment.
The London-based company launched their hometown site in February of 2011, moved on to New York City in May, and have plans for expansion into Spain and other likely European contenders in 2012.
