Two football leagues to merge, form Everett Crimson Tide Pop Warner
EVERETT – In a move long-rumored in the city, the Everett Huskies and the Everett Eagles organizations have officially merged, making the official announcement at Monday evening’s Board of Aldermen meeting. Mayor Carlo DeMaria, Jr., Superintendent Frederick F. Foresteire, and the Board were the first to offer congratulations to the teams Executive Board Members.
The team merger has now created the Everett Crimson Tide Pop Warner team, a reminder to opponents of the city’s long history of football and crushing defeats their teams have doled out over the years.
League officials are still finalizing terms of the merger and a detailed announcement will be made in the coming months.
