Housing Families Awarded Boston Marathon Numbers, Sets $50K Fundraising Goal
MALDEN – The Board of Directors of Housing Families Inc. (HFI) announces that John Hancock has selected Housing Families to participate in its Boston Marathon® Non-Profit Program for the fourth year in a row. As a Program Participant, Housing Families received ten (10) invitational entry ‘bibs’ for runners interested in running the Boston Marathon® and raising funds for Housing Families.
Housing Families Inc. is looking for interested runners. Runners will commit to raise a minimum of $5,000 for services for homeless children and their families.

The 116th Boston Athletic Association Boston Marathon® will be held on April 16, 2012.
Housing Families was founded in 1986 by community members concerned about the growing crisis of homelessness among families in the cities of Malden, Everett and Medford. Since then Housing Families Inc. has grown into one of the largest providers of family shelter in Massachusetts.
