Stone Zoo, Franklin Park to Offer Informative, Affordable Winter Playgroups

STONEHAM/BOSTON – Zoo New England recently announced two ways for you and your little ones, ages 18 months up to 3 years, to get out of the house and explore some animals!

Join the Stone Zoo in January for their Habitats for Tots program, meeting every Friday during the month, from 10:15 to 11AM in the Animal Discovery Center at the zoo.

Also in January, enjoy some “Fun on the Farm” at the Franklin Park Zoo, meeting every Wednesday in the month from 10:15 to 11AM at the Barn.

In February, tots will learn that “One of these Animals is not like the Other” when meeting every Wednesday at the Franklin Park Zoo, with the exception of February of 22. Once again, the program will run from 10:15 to 11AM in the Barn.

At each Playful Paws playgroup, participants will take part in storytimes, animal encounters, biofacts, simple crafts and more!

The cost is $8 for members/$10 for non-members (per adult/child pair), and pre-registration is required. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon! For more information call 617-989-3742 or visit to learn more about Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo.
