Smolak Farms Offers Winter Activities for Families
NORTH ANDOVER- Smolak Farms is the perfect place to spend a fall afternoon, and it makes a great place to spend the a December day celebrating the upcoming holiday. The staff at the farm takes each and every one of their special activities as a unique opportunity to interact with their shoppers.
The farm will host a Cookie Decorating Workshops this Wednesday, December 7th and the following two weeks on the 14th and 21st. From 10AM to 1PM, the cost is $3.00 per child. Drops-ins are welcome, and no reservations are necessary.
On Saturday, December 10th, the farm will host a special Breakfast with Mrs. Claus. Enjoy stories, crafts, and breakfast from 10AM to 12PM. Santa is scheduled to visit from 12PM to 3PM. The cost is $12 per child, including the aforementioned activities as well as cookie decorating.
The Newfoundland Club of New England will continue their Christmas Tree Pull on Sunday, December 11th from 11AM to 2PM. Families go out into the fields to choose and cut their Christmas tree! The varieties of trees at the Farm include Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir and Concolor Fir.
The Newfoundland dogs will be at Smolak Farms to pull Christmas Trees, assist families by taking the trees to the vehicles. These “gentle giants” will be available to pose for pictures, and they will even be offering rides for the little ones!
Donations will be accepted. All profits will be donated to the NCNE Rescue & Referral Service and the Newfoundland Club of New England Charitable Fund.
The farm will also host a Gingerbread House Workshop on Saturday, December 17th. The annual workshop will run from 10:00AM to 12:00PM and space is limited. Seating is first-come first seated, and registering is necessary. Please call 1-978-682-6332, ext. 0 and have a major credit card ready. All reservations are final and non-refundable. Prices reserve you a spot in the class, include all ingredients and decoration materials.
