MASSACHUSETTS – Four teams from the NoBo region managed to make it all the way to Super Bowl Saturday this past weekend, with just Everett managing to bring home yet another state championship for the Crimson Tide.
In separate blowouts, Tewksbury Memorial High School lost to Duxbury, 35-0 in the MIAA Division II Eastern Massachusetts championship while Wakefield Memorial High School lost to Dennis-Yarmouth 35-0 in the MIAA Division 2A Eastern Massachusetts championship.
Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School lost as well, falling short just two points to Bourne High School in the Division 3A MIAA Eastern Massachusetts championship. The final score was 16-14.
Everett dominated Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in the Division 1A MIAA Eastern Massachusetts state championship matchup, winning 36-13. This was Everett’s 25 consecutive victory and the ninth Super Bowl Championship for legendary head coach John DiBiaso.
