Super Bowl Saturday, Everett Looks to Extend Winning Streak

MASSACHUSETTS – Today is Super Bowl Saturday in Massachusetts with eighteen championship game scheduled across the region, six of which will be played at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro and broadcast on WBZ-FM 98.5, the Sports Hub.

Select games will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet New England, including Eastern Mass DIII Super Bowl between Concord-Carlisle and Oliver Ames; Central Mass DI Super Bowl between St. John’s Shrewsbury and Leominster; and the Western Mass Division I Super Bowl between Longmeadow and Springfield Central.

As an Everett native myself, there is disappointment the Crimson Tide will not get the chance to defend their Eastern Massachusetts Division 1 title after last year’s demotion to Division 1A, however, there is little dispute across the Commonwealth as to who is top dog.

The Tide is looking to extend their winning streak to 25 games as they take on Lincoln-Sudbury at Bentley University tonight at 7PM. Record-setting quarterback Jonathan DiBiaso will play under the leadership of his father, Everett’s head coach and multiple-Super Bowl winner John DiBiaso.

Good Luck to the Everett Crimson Tide and all the student-athletes participating in today’s games.
