MASSACHUSETTS – Free Fun Fridays sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation will conclude across Massachusetts today!
The organization has invited residents and tourists each Friday through out the summer to visit designated cultural attractions by offering FREE admission. No registration or tickets required. Simply visit, and enjoy!
In previous weeks, a majority of events focused on the greater Boston area and east coast of the Commonwealth, while this week’s events are clearly centered on points west of the city. Visit Old Sturbridge Village, and experience early New England life. Hop on over to the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield where you can meander through a unique blend of exhibitions, galleries, and attractions. From fine art to a touch tank and acquarium, the museum is perfect for families of all ages. On your way home, stop by the Ecotarium in Worcester for a hands-on lesson inn environmental conservation.
For those interested in theater, take in a 6PM performance of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn at the Charles Mosesian Theater in the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown. The 340-capacity will be filled at a first-come, first-serve basis. Absolutely no reservations will be accepted.
Free admission will be granted to the following locations on Friday, August 26, 2011:
