Mayor Thanks Youth Workers and Local Company’s Philanthropy

As the summer season simmers into September, the office of Mayor Carlo DeMaria, Jr. of Everett is thanking youth workers hired for the summer months and the local company responsible for their employment after the program was nearly scrapped due to budget constraints.

Mayor DeMaria recently invited representatives from Distrigas Suez to city hall to offer his sincerest gratitude for the $25,000 donation that made it possible for city officials to continue the long-time jobs program aimed at keeping teens active and off the streets during the summer downtime.

“The crews have been a major help to the parks and city services departments this summer, and have been working hard to keep their neighborhoods clean.”
