Veterans Graves Honored in Everett, Malden

EVERETT/MALDEN – Volunteers in the cities of Everett and Malden have begun preparations for Memorial Day, assisting their Veterans Department by placing US flags on more than 5,000 graves of military veterans in several cemeteries.

Volunteers hail from a number of veterans organizations and several Boy Scout troops. The city of Malden will honor all requests by residents to place flags through Friday by calling 781-397-7139.

Volunteers have already placed flags at the Glenwood Cemetery in Everett, ad will continue their annual tradition once again on this Saturday, May 21st at Woodlawn Cemetery beginning at 9AM.
